Globalization: a major challenge worthy of the ╔cole Polytechnique

The target that has been set is to collect 35 million euros between now and 2012, distributed as follows:
  • 7 M€ capitalized, to be used as a basis for a perennial endowment fund,
  • 24,5 M€ directly allocated to precise, concrete projects set out in the Campaign's development themes,
  • 3,5 M€ in campaign expenses and donation administration.

With globalisation and competition in the higher education and research market, ╔cole Polytechnique is faced with the tremendous challenge of becoming a leading world institution.
To support its ambition, the ╔cole needs to tackle two major issues:

  • International competition: by giving itself the means that it needs to attract the best teachers, researchers and students (adapt the course offer, develop its campus and attractive recruitment terms, make its diplomas better known abroad).
  • The scientific challenge: by keeping in the forefront of scientific innovation and developing and widening its policy of openness and partnerships.

To support the ╔cole's development strategy, the ╔cole Polytechnique Foundation has decided to launch an initial ambitious Campaign aimed at its former students.
